For over two decades, KPMG in Canada has been supporting Women’s College Hospital’s commitment to reducing barriers to care for women and their families. Today, their support has surpassed $1 million.

Spearheaded by committed partners, and driven forward by the momentum of team members across all levels of the organization, it has been through KPMG’s collective support that this incredible milestone was reached. From a major gift to help build the new home of Women’s College Hospital to serving as Presenting Sponsor of Women for Women’s since its inaugural year in 2011 to the immeasurable generosity of KPMG employees who have donated their time and knowledge as volunteers and so much more, this is an organization deeply invested in advancing healthcare for women and for all.

WCH’s vision for improved healthcare options is addressing the reality that healthcare doesn’t work the same for everyone - marginalized individuals and communities are often overlooked because traditional models of care don’t consider their unique needs. As an organization at the forefront of inclusive policies and practices, KPMG’s shared commitment to equity has continued to inspire their commitment to WCH.

“We know that diversity fosters innovation and inclusion builds community. When we embrace the needs of our people collectively, and empower them individually, we can truly understand the value that each of them brings,” says Mary Lou Maher, Canadian Managing Partner, Quality and Risk Management and Global Head of Inclusion & Diversity, KPMG in Canada.  “This is why we are so proud to support Women’s College Hospital. WCH is embracing the unique needs of their communities, and is developing innovative solutions to address those needs. They recognize that advancing equity in healthcare will lead to healthier communities nationwide.”

With a focus on delivering innovative solutions that address the most pressing health system challenges facing Canadians today, KPMG’s support allows us to continue our work as Canada’s leader in revolutionizing healthcare and as a global leader in conducting groundbreaking women’s health research.

Thank you, KPMG, for your enduring generosity! We deeply appreciate your partnership and support as we continue to work towards delivering on our vision of equitable healthcare for all.
