On Tuesday, March 3, over 1,000 women and their allies gathered at the 9th annual Women for Women’s – Women’s College Hospital Foundation’s annual signature gala luncheon – to celebrate empowered women and the global impact of Women’s College Hospital.

We are thrilled to announce that the event raised an incredible $630,000 to fuel the healthcare revolution and advance health equity for women and for all!

Of this total, $200,000 was raised onsite to launch The Emily Stowe Society, a groundbreaking new initiative to engage, retain and advance women from underrepresented communities in health research careers through financial and mentorship support. For more information about The Emily Stowe Society, visit www.emilystowesociety.ca.

This year’s Women for Women’s featured three engaging and inspiring presentations by Women’s College Hospital leaders Dr. Danielle Martin, Dr. Praseedha Janakiram and Dr. Paula Rochon. Layne The Auctionista made an appearance to lead fundraising efforts for The Emily Stowe Society, and Juno Award-winning singer Divine Brown closed out the show with a stunning performance.
