Women’s College Hospital is committed to building a healthier and more equitable world for all and we are proud to be named the Honoured Group of the 2019 Pride Festival.

Women’s College Hospital (WCH) is proud to be named the Honoured Group of the 2019 Pride Festival, chosen for its commitment to improving access to transition-related care for the trans community in Toronto and beyond. WCH is proud to have marched in celebration and in solidarity with Pride Toronto for over ten years.

pride.jpgAs Canada’s leader in revolutionizing healthcare, Women’s College Hospital is committed to building a healthier and more equitable world for all. A key partner in the Trans Health Expansion Partnership (THEx), formed by WCH, Rainbow Health Ontario and the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, Women’s College Hospital is addressing the significant wait list for transition-related surgical referrals and lack of access to surgical services by launching Canada’s first public hospital-based Transition Relation Surgeries program.

Funds raised during Pride Month and the Pride Festival weekend will be directed towards the Transition Related Surgeries Program at Women’s College Hospital, helping to advance sensitive and quality transition-related care.

Pride Toronto is working hard to support a brighter future for the LGBTQ2+ community by partnering with charitable organizations that support life-changing and life-saving services for their community. Women’s College Hospital and Foundation are committed to walking, marching and rallying our partners and supporters around this cause to ensure we continue to close the glaring health gaps that exist for the trans and LGBTQ2+ communities.
