In February 2017, The Peter Gilgan Centre for Women’s Cancers was launched at Women’s College Hospital.

This new centre was established through an unprecedented, collaborative gift from philanthropist Peter Gilgan and the Canadian Cancer Society. The work coming from this centre will revolutionize care for women’s cancers across Canada.

Fuelled by the support of our generous donor community, The Peter Gilgan Centre for Women’s Cancers draws together WCH’s excellence in women’s cancers research, clinical care, innovation and education and then leverages that knowledge across the country through the Canadian Cancer Society’s powerful, national network.

Reaching women, their families, health care practitioners and educators in communities across our country, our goal is to ensure every woman has equitable access to best practices in care for women’s cancers.

Your donation today will help give every woman every chance.

Having and recovering from breast cancer can be a lonely, isolating and terrifying experience. I was lucky enough to receive world-class care at Women’s College Hospital. It’s my hope that women all across Canada can receive the same incredible treatment and support that I did.
